Today, we’re pumped to kick off preparations for the 56th season of the Historic Fort Peck Theatre! The plumbing is flowing again after being pickled for those frigid Northeast Montana winters. Meanwhile, our picturesque, newly rebuilt rear deck is getting a fresh coat of paint under today’s balmy 70° skies.

Planning is in full swing, and we’re thrilled to welcome back Jay Michael Roberts, who’s the first to return from his off-season adventures in Idaho and California. Jay is already plotting virtually with the director of our opening show, The Play That Goes Wrong, so that nothing actually goes wrong! This play is a phenomenal comedy you won’t want to miss! We caught this production at another prestigious historic venue, and its perfectly chaotic story will shine with our Fort Peck Summer Theatre resident cast and peerless venue. It’s poised to amplify every character’s prodigious talent!

And here’s a pawsitively exciting update: the search for the perfect pup to star as Sandy in Annie is officially underway! We're scouring for a plucky canine with personality to steal the show.

For more polishing, our 913 pristine seats are next on the list with a cleaning schedule. Want to lend a hand? Please contact Kari at the FPFAC office 046.228.9216 to volunteer. A little elbow grease and a lot of passion will prep these seats for our patrons!

Elsewhere, the theatre is buzzing with prep work for a modernized HVAC system, set to reach its full potential by year’s end—yes, that means proper heat! The summer committee is planning the products and inventory for the concession stand and gift shop, while our marketing and fundraising teams are pursuing sponsorships and promoting the program. The facilities committee is prepping the house, the rehearsal hall, and the shop for the resident cast’s arrival. Meanwhile, our youth and education team held a phenomenal audition, bringing in 64 local area performers!

Kari and Andy are partnering to craft a perfect program that proudly showcases our sponsors, patrons, advertisers, cast, and crew. Stay tuned for more pulse-pounding updates as we prime the Historic Fort Peck Theatre for an unforgettable season!
