Dear Fort Peck Fine Arts Council & Summer Theatre Champions,

             Thank you for walking hand-in-hand with us in caring for our cherished landmark over the years. Alongside you, passionate artists and volunteers continue to provide high-quality entertainment in a space that is safe, accessible, and historically preserved. We’re delighted to share an update on our ongoing efforts to sustain the historic Fort Peck Theatre, which celebrated its 91st birthday in 2025.

As you know, the Fort Peck Fine Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of this “Jewel of the Prairie.” Our mission is to ensure that the Fort Peck Theatre continues to shine for generations to come. To help achieve this goal, we established an Endowment Fund that is professionally managed by the Montana Community Foundation (MCF), a trusted steward dedicated to secure long-term financial growth.

Thanks to the generous contributions of devoted supporters like you, our Endowment Fund has generated sustainable investment returns that provide vital financial resources for key restoration projects. Your past gifts have been instrumental in maintaining the Theatre’s impressive beauty, much as it appeared when it first opened in 1934.

 

Legacy  & Giving Opportunities:  Gift planning is a way to extend your charitable support to make a lasting impact. You can put your donation to work today, via Check or Credit Card donation, or leave a legacy after your lifetime, that allows you to support the FPFAC while providing tax and financial benefits during your life. The Legacy Gift may take many forms: Bequests, Beneficiary Designations, Securities, CD’s, Life Insurance, Retirement Plan Assets, Property or Real Estate, Charitable Gift Annuity, Charitable Remainder or Lead Trusts. Preservation Progress:  With your steadfast support, we’ve been able to undertake numerous restoration projects to ensure the longevity of this cultural treasure. From refurbishing the iconic marquee and preserving intricate architectural details to restoring the stage and improving accessibility, your contributions have made a remarkable difference.

Our main HVAC mechanical project is complete. The overall construction budget of $1.3 million was raised by your generous contributions and grant awards.  Corresponding projects we hope to complete in the next phase include: Weatherproofing Entrances, Upgrading Doors & Windows, Acquiring Generator(s).

These efforts not only enhance the Theatre’s visual appeal but also preserve its enduring history. The Fort Peck Theatre continues to hold a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike, celebrating the region’s rich artistic heritage.

 

Beyond the Theatre:  To further support our mission, the Council also maintains the scene shop, costume shop, rehearsal hall, and actor housing. Our Improvement Fund, a locally managed investment account, directs resources toward these essential facilities and the continued preservation of the Theatre itself.
