Jake Etchart
September 20, 1980-November 22, 2006
Jake Etchart, son of Executive Director Patt Etchart, was an avid theatre buff. He loved watching his sisters, Alexa and Christen, and brother, John, perform on stage at Fort Peck. The Etchart family recalls many of their best memories involve the Fort Peck Summer Theatre.
Jake’s family and friends established a theatre scholarship fund in his memory. This fund is invested within the Fort Peck Theatre Preservation Endowment of the Montana Community Foundation. The interest from this investment will provide a minimum of 2 scholarships per year of approximately $1,000 each. As the fund grows there will be the opportunity for more or larger scholarships.
Jake’s family and the Fine Arts Council would like to thank the many donors who have made this possible.
The application deadline is July 15, 2010 and the scholarships will be awarded on August 6th at the Theatre before the 8:00 pm performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
